Yearning to work in a three-dimensional medium, Condon created a series of glass mobiles, referencing the work of the great Venetian glass chandelier makers of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries as well as the work of Alexander Calder, yet totally individual. Combining found antique glass elements and blown glass orbs with amethyst, jade and Peruvian opals, Condon's one-of-a-kind mobiles evoke orbiting planets in faraway galaxies.
