MANDALAS

Evolving out of her metaphysical studies, Condon's abstract mandala paintings are square in form rendered in oil on linen canvas. This series is intended to guide and teach the viewer to reach higher states of consciousness. By the subtle nature of their color and design, these mandala paintings intend to shift energy by their very presence. The colors are based upon the seven charkas, the energy centers of the body. Inspired by the Tibetan tradition, Condon uses many thin glazes on square canvases to create entrancing, soft-focus mandalas in which diaphanous crystalline and floral patterns radiate from glowing centers.
