This fine Irish George III period snuff box is formed by a a large olive shell mounted with sterling silver, incised with neoclassical motifs and impressed with the date mark of 1788, the place mark of Dublin and the maker's mark of Aeneas Ryan, who was active between 1784 and 1809.
