This German secretary has a rectangular variegated gray marble top above two cupboard doors each inset with mirrored panels with Gothic-arch astragal overlays, the lower section fitted with a secretary drawer opening to a movable leather-inset writing surface and a variety of storage spaces, raised on a later plinth, above a cabinet with a single cupboard door, inset with a finely figured and quarter-veneered demi-lune panel, raised on a stepped plinth bases, one of a later date.
